Dreams, Struggles, and BTS: How I Found My Light
Hey there! Welcome back to my little corner of the internet. If you’ve been following along, you know I’ve been sharing bits and pieces of my pharmacy school journey—the good, the bad, and the downright stressful. But today, I want to let you in on something even more personal.
You ever feel like life’s just one big exam you didn’t study for? That was me, juggling pharmacy school, stress, and a whole lot of self-doubt. But somewhere between the textbooks and tears, I found unexpected companions—not in people, not in dramas, but in music. BTS didn’t just distract me from life’s chaos; they became my reason to smile, to keep going, and most importantly, to believe in myself.
This isn’t just about music; it’s about survival, self-love, and finding light in the darkest times. So, grab a snack, get comfy, and let’s dive in!
BTS: More Than Just Music
I’ve always been someone who struggled to enjoy life fully, someone who lived more in sadness than in smiles. But BTS gave me a reason to love myself, to cherish the little moments, and to find hope when everything felt dark. Their music wasn’t just about beats and lyrics—it was about healing, about connection, about survival.
I remember the first time I failed a subject. It was the worst feeling—something I’d never faced before. I felt lost, like I wasn’t enough. But then, I listened to Namjoon’s No.2, and it felt like he was speaking directly to me, telling me, “Please don’t look back.” Those words became my anchor. They pulled me out of that dark place and reminded me that failure isn’t the end.
Suga’s words "Future gonna be okay”—became my daily mantra. When life felt overwhelming, Amygdala touched the deepest parts of my heart, helping me process pain I didn’t even know I had. Just One Day gave me hope, and Not Today was my battle cry, telling me to stand up, fight, and never give up.
But the biggest light in all of this? Namjoon. His words, his music, his wisdom—they weren’t just comforting; they were life-saving.
Namjoon: My Guiding Light
Namjoon has this incredible way of putting emotions into words, of making you feel seen and understood even when you’re at your lowest. One quote that always sticks with me is:
“You’ve been wearing this mask for too long. It’s time to take it off and love yourself.”
That hit me hard. I realized I was hiding behind my sadness, behind the fear of failure, and it was time to let go and embrace who I really am.
Another quote that changed everything for me:
“No matter how tough things get, you always have to believe in yourself.”
Simple, but it became my lifeline. When I felt like giving up, Namjoon’s voice echoed in my mind, reminding me of my worth, my strength.
I owe so much of my growth and resilience to him. His music taught me to face my fears, to embrace my flaws, and to shine in my own unique way. And trust me, I have so much more to say about Namjoon. But that’s a story for another blog!
Gratitude Beyond Words:
People often wonder, “How can a band mean so much to you?” And honestly, I don’t have the perfect answer. But sometimes, BTS was the only reason I got out of bed in the morning. They made me feel alive when life felt too heavy. They taught me to love myself, to fight for my dreams, and to believe that even on the darkest days, there’s a light waiting for me.
So, to BTS—and especially to Namjoon—thank you. Thank you for being my inspiration, my strength, and my reason to smile. I love you more than words can say.
Conclusion:
Life’s tough, but with the right soundtrack, you can get through anything. And if you’re reading this, wondering if things will ever get better—trust me, they will. Sometimes, all it takes is one song, one lyric, or one voice to remind you that you shine.
And if you’re curious about how much Namjoon really means to me, stay tuned for my next blog, where I’ll pour my heart out about the person who’s been my guiding light through it all.
